Renewals & Expiry
Renewals & expiry
Domains renew from the same client area as your other Nexus Cloud services. We invoice before expiry so the name does not lapse.
How renewal works
- You receive a renewal invoice before the expiry date (typically about 14 days ahead).
- Pay the invoice in Billing → My Invoices.
- We renew the domain at the registry automatically after payment.
You can also open Domains and choose Renew to add years before the invoice is due.
Keep the name
- Pay renewal invoices on time.
- Keep your account email current — expiry reminders go there.
- Enable automatic card payment on the account if you want renewals to take without a manual step.
If a domain expires
After expiry there is usually a short grace period, then a more expensive redemption window. Once redemption ends the name can be registered by someone else. Contact support immediately if an important domain has expired.
Transfers out
To move a domain away from Nexus Cloud, unlock it in the client area and request the EPP / auth code. Complete the transfer at the new registrar before the current term ends if you do not want to renew with us first.
